cellphone snapshots from the road

From My Cellphone. Various Locations (2010)
By next Monday, I will have spent three nights in four states over the past fourteen days. It’s been a whirlwind and there is more to come. So here’s a quick hello as I take a pit stop in NYC and a few snapshots from my cell phone along the way. I wish I picked up a real camera instead of my phone for a few of these - c’est la vie. For those interested, I regularly post photos like these to my twitter account.

Excellent. I will say that perhaps the spontaneity of the camera is a powerful function. Thinking about the weight of the camera, the settings, the lens - perhaps it is a necessary abstraction from point of on the go photography. These are very lomoesque in their spontaneity, and i enjoy them greatly. This is not to say the normal cameras have their IMMENSE benefits from color work, to film styles, to lens types, setting etc etc - but the phone is able to get two simple functions and remove most of the rest - framing and the moment.
lybs, and greetings from budapest.

Well said indeed Ty! I must admit not having all the fancy technical frills is quite liberating. Thanks for your thoughtful comments and happy exploring in Budapest!
