playing the drums in new york

Lonely Chair, Syracuse, NY.
The past month has been a blur, sprinting through the days while trying to keep up with everything along the way. Though the days and nights have been filled to the brim with shoots, scanning, production and juggling 100 different projects, it’s been a rush.
So, to spare myself coalescing one of the new shoots for the blog prematurely, I am going to share something a little different. As some of you may know, I grew up playing the drums and have been in and out of a few bands over the years. Even though I always considered it a hobby, I now find myself playing in two bands in NYC with multiple shows a month. It’s quite a lot to keep up with but a lot of fun.
Last week, I went into the studio with one group, The Dennis Padula Band a R&B/Soul ensemble, to record a live demo. I just received this recordings this morning and thought I’d to share a song with you. Now, it’s just a rough demo so don’t be too harsh, but I have to say I think it came out pretty nice.
